Introduction

Using the correct label supplies is critical to successful labeling. In addition to having labels that match needs for size and shape, care should be taken to match label materials with the correct ribbon formulations. Ink ribbons fall into 3 basic chemical categories…wax, wax-resin, and all-resin with varying compositions of each. To avoid printing mishaps, care must be taken to match the correct formulation with the label material being used.

Combinations of ribbons and labels also need to be paired properly with the label printer being used.

Your IDX representative can help you design labels with almost any physical construction, from multi-part, multi-row to simple 1-up labels and match materials and adhesives to environments and specific applications.

We also stock off-the-shelf labels in all the standard sizes and materials from the major manufacturers.
